The Be Fit – For You program is a safe effective way for older people to exercise and maintain a healthy level of fitness. The exercises provided by Dana Eden, a physiotherapist from Woolgoolga, are easy to follow and enjoyable to do.
From the beginning we realised that the overarching value of this program is the relationship-building between the participants. We conclude each session with a round table chat and a cup of tea or coffee. Several new friendships have developed and continue. Two ladies are now volunteering with the Opportunity Shop and one with Messy Church catering.
If you would enjoy this activity, we meet every Monday at 9:45am in the Community Centre at our church and are welcoming of new participants.
